Client Guidelines & Booking Policy
As a client of Slocum, you have complimentary access to our moving van — a perk we offer to make your move a little easier. Because this benefit is shared across all of our clients, the following guidelines help us keep it fair, accessible, and well-maintained for everyone.
Who Can Book
Active or past clients buying or selling with Slocum Home Team & Slocum Insurance Agency.
Priority window: 30 days before closing through 60 days after closing.
Booking Limits
Maximum of 3 bookings per client per transaction.
Maximum of 3 consecutive days per booking.
Maximum of 1 weekend booking per client (Saturday and/or Sunday).
Minimum of 7 days between a client’s bookings.
How to Book
All bookings now go through a request-and-approve process to make sure the van is fairly distributed across our clients.
Submit your request through our online booking form (link provided by your agent).
Requests are reviewed within 1 business day.
You'll receive a confirmation email once your booking is approved.
Please submit requests at least 5 business days in advance when possible.

| Fuel | Please return the van with the same fuel level as pickup. |
| Cleanliness | Return the van clean and free of debris. A cleaning fee may apply if returned in poor condition. |
| Mileage | Local use only — within Rhode Island and immediate surrounding areas. |
| Drivers | Only the named client (or a pre-approved driver) may operate the van. The driver must be 25+ with a valid license and evidence of current insurance coverage. |
| Insurance | Coverage details will be reviewed at pickup. A signed acknowledgment is required before each booking. |
| Damage | Any damage that occurs during your booking is the client's responsibility. Please report immediately. |
| Pickup/Return | Pickup and return windows are confirmed at booking. Please be prompt out of respect for the next client. |
Acceptable Use
The van is intended to support your move. Examples of approved uses include:
Moving household belongings to/from your new home.
Picking up furniture or appliances for your new home.
Donation runs of items being cleared out as part of your move.
The van is not available for ongoing personal use, commercial purposes, or non-move-related projects.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Please cancel at least 48 hours in advance so the van can be offered to another client.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect future booking eligibility.
Once Our Client, Forever Our Client
While priority bookings will be reserved for current clients within their closing window, we would love to extend use of the van to our past clients, as well. Please fill out the request form and someone from our Ops team will be in touch.
